Kreditano is a comparison site for loans and financial products in Poland. We help you compare offers for cash loans, online loans, credit cards, mortgages and other products from Polish banks and KNF-licensed lenders — free of charge.
How it works
You pick what you're looking for. You see offers side by side with RRSO (the Polish APR), monthly payment and total cost. You click „Apply" and go straight to the institution you chose. The application happens with them, not with us. Comparing is fully free.
How we earn
The bank or lender pays us an affiliate commission when a customer reaches their system through our link. This doesn't change your RRSO and doesn't change the terms of the offer — you get exactly what you'd see at the bank branch. The fee doesn't decide the order of the listings or our editorial view on a product.
What we are not
We are not a bank, a lender or a credit broker. We don't grant loans. We're an information and comparison site; you always sign the contract directly with the institution you picked.
Editorial team
We write as a small team — editors with several years of experience in Polish banking and the financial press. This is not a generic „content team" — every guide is read by someone who actually knows the topic. We keep a deliberately human tone, because the Polish internet already has too many finance texts that read like a user manual.
We check the offers in the comparison against the public fee tables of each bank and lender. When an institution changes RRSO, we update, usually the same day, sometimes within a week. If you spot something stale, write to us, we'll fix it fast.
Three-person team — by roles, not by names
Content gets built in three separated roles. Most Polish comparison sites run with one person writing, editing and updating. We do it differently, so the same person isn't checking their own work.
The product editor handles texts on cash loans, instalment loans, mortgages and non-bank lenders. Reads public bank fee tables every week, supplies specific RRSO numbers and representative examples drawn straight from the institution's page.
The compliance editor checks alignment with the Polish consumer credit law, current KNF guidance, UOKiK decisions and GDPR. Every new article goes through them before going to production. Sensitive topics (chwilówki, debt consolidation, refinancing) run on a second track with an extra fact-check.
The data editor updates RRSO, amounts and terms from each institution's public tables. Sets the „last update” date visible at the top of every article. One rule: if the rate changed, the date moves up the same day.
Three-step verification process
Step one. The product editor writes the text from the institution's public documentation: terms of service, fee table, representative RRSO. No paraphrasing of marketing, no rewriting of ads.
Step two. The compliance editor compares the content against current KNF and UOKiK guidance. Checks whether anything suggests breaching the anti-usury law, whether representative examples follow the legal formula, whether cost warnings are visible enough.
Step three. A second product editor (different from the author) reads the entire text, fact-checks the numbers against the institution's pages, runs the instalment and total-cost calculations. Only then do we publish.
KNF Register — how we verify lenders
Every lender shown in the comparison carries a number in the KNF Lender Register. The number sits in the offer card next to the firm name. We check the entry on every publication and scan the list quarterly. If a firm is removed from the register, it disappears from the comparison within 48 hours. No exceptions.
How we verify content
Before we publish or update a guide, someone reads the text alongside the institution's own page and — when the topic calls for it — alongside public guidance from KNF or UOKiK. Then a second editor reads it (different from the one who wrote it). Rates change. Every article shows the date of the last update so you know how fresh the text is.
Experience and trust (E-E-A-T)
We prepare content with a focus on accuracy and clarity. We cite official Polish sources: KNF (the Polish Financial Supervision Authority), UOKiK (Consumer Protection Office), NBP (National Bank of Poland) and BIK (Polish Credit Bureau). We verify the information on a regular schedule.
Editorial policy
The editorial team works separately from the sales team. Affiliate cooperation with banks and lenders does not decide the order of offers, the content of guides or what we cover. By default we sort offers from lowest to highest RRSO — cheapest first — in line with the Polish consumer credit law's principle that RRSO is the only fair criterion for comparing loans.
