OC, AC, home and health — what to know before getting a quote

OC is the only insurance you are required to have — drive without it and you risk a fine from the Insurance Guarantee Fund (UFG) that runs into a few thousand zloty in 2026. The price comes down mostly to your claim history and where the car is registered; the same driver pays markedly more in Warsaw than in a smaller town. AC is voluntary and costs several times as much, so it makes sense on a newer car or one bought on credit, where the bank requires it anyway.

A home policy splits into two parts: the building and the contents. People usually insure the walls for the value on the deed and forget the furniture, even though the furniture is what tends to burn or flood first. With health insurance, the price isn't the point — the point is the clinic network and the waiting time for a specialist. A 120 PLN subscription a month with no access to a decent clinic in your town is worth less than a pricier one with a real appointment date.

Prices in the comparison are indicative. The insurer calculates the final premium from your data: age, history, car model, square metres. Get a quote from two or three providers and compare coverage, not just the price — the cheapest policy with exclusions can turn out to be the most expensive on the day of a claim.
