This page covers the privacy policy of the browser extension „Kreditano — Kalkulator RRSO (Polska)”, published on the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons. For the kreditano.pl website itself, see the Site privacy policy.

One-line summary: the extension does not collect any of your data and sends nothing over the internet. All RRSO calculations run on your device.

What the extension does

The extension is a calculator that opens from a popup on your browser toolbar. You type in a loan amount, term in months, monthly instalment and optionally a fee. You get back RRSO (the Polish APR) computed by bisection according to annex 4 of the Consumer Credit Act, the total to repay, the total cost and the comparison against the two ceilings of the Polish anti-usury law: maximum nominal interest (Civil Code art. 359 §2¹) and non-interest cost of credit (art. 36a of the Consumer Credit Act).

What data we process

Only the numbers you type into the calculator. Nothing more.

Amount, term, instalment and fee are stored in your browser's local storage through chrome.storage.local, so that when you reopen the popup you don't have to type them again. That storage area belongs to your browser profile on your device. It is not synced to any server of ours, because there is no server in this path. Kreditano does not see these values.

We do not ask for your name, e-mail, phone number or any personal data. There is no login — no user account.

Extension permissions

Our manifest.json declares exactly one permission: storage. The host_permissions field is empty, which means the extension cannot reach any site you browse. It does not read website content, does not modify forms, does not see passwords or banking data. It also has no content script and no background service worker.

Chrome and Edge label extensions with no site permissions as „does not read or change your data on the sites you visit” — that is exactly the mode Kalkulator RRSO runs in.

Cookies, tracking, remote code

The extension sets no cookies in any domain. It contains no analytics libraries (Google Analytics, PostHog, Ahrefs Analytics or any other). It contains no ads. It loads no remote code — every piece of JavaScript we use ships inside the package (popup.js, rules.pl.js) and can be inspected before install.

External links in the interface

There are two links inside the popup. The first goes to the KNF Public Warning List, so you can check whether a lender appears there as unlicensed. The second opens the kreditano.pl home page. Either click opens a new tab in your browser. From that moment on, the privacy policies of KNF and Kreditano.pl apply, respectively.

Your rights

RODO (GDPR) grants you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and consent withdrawal over your personal data. In the context of this extension we have nothing to share, correct or erase — your data simply never reaches us.

Whatever is saved in chrome.storage.local you can remove at any time: uninstall the extension, or clear extension data in your browser (Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data; Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data).

The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw — stays yours at any time.

Extension updates

New versions appear mostly after a change in the NBP reference rate, because the maximum-interest ceiling derives from it. Chrome and Edge will offer the update themselves — we do not need to notify you from a server. Changes to this policy get published at the same address, with the date at the top telling you when the document was last touched.

Operator and contact

The extension is published by Westend Consulting Ltd, a company registered in Malta at THE CORE, Triq il-Wied ta' l-Imsida, Msida, MSD 9021. Questions about the extension or this policy: contact [at] kreditano [dot] com.
