The true cost of a Polish loan, in your browser.

Type in the amount, term and instalment. The extension computes RRSO by bisection, compares it with both ceilings of the Polish anti-usury law, and tells you whether the offer stays within the legal limits.

What the extension does

%

RRSO by bisection

The result matches annex 4 of the Consumer Credit Act — the same method regulated institutions use. No „just add the rate to the principal” shortcuts that quietly understate the cost.

§

Both anti-usury ceilings

Maximum nominal interest (today 14.50%, derived from the NBP reference rate) and non-interest cost of credit under art. 36a — 10% + 10%×(days/365), hard cap at 45%. A green, orange or red badge sits under every result.

!

Payday-loan-shark warning

When RRSO exceeds 100%, the extension asks you plainly to check the lender against the KNF Public Warning List. The link opens in a new tab — we send nothing on your behalf.

🔒

Zero data goes out

All JavaScript ships inside the package, no remote code. The one permission we ask for is „storage” — we only remember the numbers you last typed into the calculator so you don't retype them.

How to use it in 30 seconds

  1. 1

    Install the extension

„Add to Chrome” opens the Chrome Web Store listing. One click to confirm — no account, no login.

  2. 2

Click the Tino icon on the toolbar

The icon lives in the top-right of Chrome. Open the popup with one click, on any page, any time.

  3. 3

    Type four numbers

Amount, term in months, monthly instalment, optionally the fee. PL number format — comma as decimal, space as thousands.

  4. 4

Read your RRSO and the legality verdict

Big percentage on top — your real RRSO. Below it, the badge tells you whether the non-interest costs sit within the statutory limit. Takes as long as reading this sentence.

See it in action

Standard result for an offer inside the legal cap. Green badge, RRSO and total cost in one view.
Short payday loan with RRSO above 100% — the extension flags it in red and asks you to verify the lender with KNF.
Everything runs locally. The calculator does not ask for access to any site you browse.

Zero data. No site permissions.

The manifest declares exactly one permission: „storage”. The „host_permissions” field is empty, so the code cannot reach any website. We set no cookies, load nothing from a server, run no background script. Chrome labels this mode „does not read or change your data on the sites you visit” — that is exactly how the RRSO calculator runs.

Frequently asked

Is the extension fully free?

Yes. No paid tier, no in-app purchases, no ads. Kreditano earns affiliate commission on kreditano.pl when you click „Apply” on a chosen offer — never from the extension itself.

Where does the maximum-interest value come from?

From the NBP Monetary Policy Council decisions. The reference rate is currently 3.75%, so statutory interest is 7.25% and maximum interest (2× statutory under Civil Code art. 359 §2¹) is 14.50%. We ship a new version after every RPP change.

What if the RPP changes the rate and you're late updating?

The extension has a safety net: if the last update date is older than 180 days, the popup switches to „no-data mode” — it shows RRSO and cost without the coloured „legal / illegal” badge. We would rather show no verdict than show a wrong one.

Any plans for Firefox or Safari?

We launched on Chrome and Microsoft Edge because both share the Manifest V3 standard. Firefox uses its own API dialect — if demand shows up, we will ship a separate package.

Found a bug or have a feature idea?

Write to contact [at] kreditano [dot] com. We read every message. The extension moves in versions — good ideas end up in the next release.

Install takes a few seconds. The first RRSO — a few more.
