Wonga.pl sp. z o.o. — the owner
Wonga.pl sp. z o.o., KNF Lender Register entry: KIP-000041. A brand of the international Wonga group, active in several European countries. In Poland since 2013. After the group's reorganisation in 2018, Wonga Poland continues as an independent company with a Polish management team.
New client 0% chwilówka
First loan 50-6 000 PLN over 30-61 days, RRSO 0% on on-time repayment. Standard condition: precise repayment, a delay triggers retroactively the full statutory cost. Wonga also accepts first-time clients with a weaker BIK (above 380 points), which sets it apart from competitors.
Returning-client chwilówka
Returning client: amount 100-6 000 PLN over 30 days, RRSO 296.64%, cost 119.91 PLN on 1 000 PLN. That's the statutory maximum, identical at most chwilówka lenders. Wonga doesn't stand out from the market here, but acceptance of a repeat loan with a marked BIK is easier than elsewhere.
Instalment loan 6 000-20 000 PLN
Representative instalment loan: 6 000 PLN, 41 instalments of 265.35 PLN plus a final 279.08 PLN, RRSO 47.18%, total cost 5 158 PLN. Term up to 42 months. That's a competitive offer against the non-bank market (Smartney 56%, Aasa 64%) — Wonga instalment is one of the cheaper in the segment.
My take: who Wonga suits
A new client with weak BIK needing a 0% chwilówka, Wonga accepts at score 380 where competitors require 420. A returning client needing a 6 000-20 000 PLN instalment, Wonga's 47% RRSO is competitive. A client with clean BIK and stable income has a lower RRSO at a bank (14-22%), so Wonga isn't the cheapest pick there.
