Character of the lender
Provident runs two channels: classic (home visits, weekly cash payments, paper contracts) and online (application on provident.pl, bank transfer, monthly payments). The classic channel handles about 40% of the portfolio, mostly clients aged 50+ and residents of towns under 50 000 people.
Key difference: a Provident loan with home service has a higher RRSO (45–70%) than online (29–45%). The extra fee for adviser service covers their time and travel. Clients pick the classic channel for convenience (no leaving home, cash payments) or lack of a bank account.
After the 2015 and 2022 anti-usury amendments Provident shrank its portfolio by tens of percent — the traditional model has become harder to keep profitable. Even so, Provident remains the most recognised brand in Polish non-bank lending.

Yes, like every KNF-registered firm. Provident has reported to BIK since 2016. Even a classic „at the door" loan sits in BIK as a liability.
Vivus and Wonga are classic online payday loans (up to 3 000 PLN over 30 days, single repayment). Provident offers instalment loans — monthly or weekly repayment, longer term. Provident also has a home-service option that Vivus and Wonga do not.
